Addenbrookes, simple for me, everyone totally dedicated commited to the work towards Cancer. The hospital oozes empathy on such a personal level. I have gained so much through my journey, most importantly I have met and made so many new friends, some I possibly will never see again but enjoyed their company along the way. Thank you

Emergency admission for bladder infections and complications. Laid in urine soaked clothes and bed for hours. Staff too busy even in high dependency unit. In ward it was the same even after a 2 hourly check agreed. Always had to change pads, gown, bed pad and sheet. Also, often the top sheet and pillows. Nurses were great but overstretched and night was even worse. Medical treatment was good - doctors did a bed call for 5 mns each day so it's not France but.it relied on overworked nurses to escalate problems to doctors which was flawed. I'm paraplegic so unable to move legs and I get bowel care at home. Hospital doesn't really accommodate disability and can be slow in providing air mattress. Bowel care is non- existent until I start expressing concern and then they use an enema - daily this time but in the past it has been up to 3 days The basic care failings and management of urinary incontinence (unable to use convene catheter, etc.) meant an open sire developed and these can become dangerous for someone with little or no movement. This was caused by laying in urine. The poor ratings reflect lack of care and attention but it was totally NOT the fault of the nurses who were great when the did attend to me

The Consultant and his Clinical Staff were fantastic, and they looked after both My Wife and I well at all times. The Nurse who looked after me in Recovery was Luigi, and he made a point of stating that he was from Portugal and Not Italy. He was an absolute star, from the moment that I recovered consciousness, to dropping me off in the ward. The nursing staff were also fantastic in the ward.

Given the current difficulties within the NHS, they achieve excellent standards of collaborative care. It is a real partnership of patient and consultant. Additionally, each consultant is aware of what the others are doing - I work with four - and they are able and willing to consult together where necessary. Would that I could get this level of care locally!

All I can say is Mr durrani and his Registrar are brilliant surgeons. They listened and cared from the initial meeting up until the last check up after surgery. I would also like to add, his registrar at the time was no different, the standard of care and attention was incredible from them both. I was lucky enough to have each breast done by each one of them, and I can never thank them both enough for what they did as they changed my life significantly for the better, (I went from a G cup to a 34DD). I was looked after exceptionally well, and had the procedure carried out on the NHS. I had no drains inserted after surgery nor did i experience any pain what so ever after the surgery, and to this day can't believe that, in fact i always comment if asked about my operation that unless I could tell they had been done, I to this day would never have known, as I was dreading the pain people had reported from other surgeons, after the same procedure. Also scarring is almost non existant and my nipple area has no signs of scarring and no sign that they had been removed (after the healing process). So all i can say is that if you want what i call a professional job done by a remarkably nice team then Mr Durrani is highly recommended by myself. Procedure was carried out at Addenbrookes in Cambridge.

Staff and attitude were the very best. Procedures are hopelessly time wasting for all concerned. The pressure on A and E could be reduced by simply sending the patient to the appropriate clinic as diagnosed by the GP. leaving that department free to attend to what it is named ie. accident and emergency. Taking up a bed whilst awaiting test results could be reduced by sending the patient home in most cases,.thus freeing up beds for those whose immediate need is obvious.
